Nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, is not only the time of flowering of the salon music, the emancipation of women and the birth of a musical canon, but also the time when the woman composer, conductor and teacher figures appear in a world highly dominated by men, the world of music. Let us look at this period and see what changed to allow women become professional musicians.
